The leading German wine competition Mundus Vini has awarded a Gold Medal to Vilarnau Rosé Delicat, which also won “Best of Show”.

Mundus Vini was founded by Meininger Verlag fifteen years ago and now attracts more than 10,000 wines from around the world to be tasted and evaluated by top wine professionals drawn from all areas of the international trade.

This year nearly 270 international wine experts from 44 countries spent the six days judging almost 6,770 wines from over 150 international wine growing regions.

Four of our cavas have obtained 90 points or more in Guía Proensa 2017. This year, Vilarnau Gran Reserva Vintage Brut Nature 2011 has been rated with 95 points, an historical rating for this 36 months aged cava. Macabeo, Parellada, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the grape varieties used to produce this cava, which is the perfect pairing for a whole meal, due to its body and long taste.
